Will
What is a Will?
A Will is a legal document that specifies how a person’s assets and property should be distributed after their death, but a Will, by itself, does not avoid Probate Court for sizeable estates.
Why do I need a Will if I am getting a Trust?
It is wise to have a Will to compliment the Trust. A Will helps capture all assets not already in the trust, and points us to the Trust which, in turn, spells out the distribution plan.
Think of a Will as a back up for your Trust so there is no confusion as to what your wishes are and how you want your assets to be handled.
